Michael has always been around water. He has spent every summer at his family’s lake house since he could walk. He found his way into competitive swimming at the age of 7 as a member of the Mid-Oak Swim Team in Midlothian, IL. He stuck with swimming all the way through high school while also finding time to compete in football, baseball, and wrestling! He went on to serve his country as a member of the United States Marine Corps, where he completed Marine Combat Water Survival Training. He currently is attending Western Governors University and is studying to become an elementary school teacher. Michael also finds time to volunteer as a Big Brother for the Big Brothers and Big Sisters program of Chicago. Michael brings great energy and experience to Big Blue, and we can’t wait for you to meet him!
